Federal Petition – Class Action Law Suit
The Motorist Union will file a unique class action petition in all 50 states, for the collective benefit of all affected Members in each state, to seek redress on behalf of Motorist Union Members who have one of the following grievances against their Government:
-
A speeding citation anytime after 1/1/97.
- Adverse or inappropriate actions, which includes suspensions, revocations, and/or points, that were taken against a driver’s license (Class A, B, or C) for any reason unrelated to driving or safety.
- Governmental violation of the Bill of Rights, which belong to all motorists, under the 4th, 5th, 9th, and 14th Amendments.
When you become a Motorist Union Member, you are automatically enrolled in the Petition which seeks damages against your Government, and all other involved parties such as insurance companies. The petition filed in each state will request injunctive relief, to stop the issuing of speeding tickets until your government can show compliance with all Constitutional requirements. If you have a driver’s license that was suspended for reasons unrelated to driving and safety, the petition will request automatic reinstatement of your driver’s license under authority of the 4th Amendment and the US Supreme Court. If you have a commercial driver’s license (Class A or B), the petition will request that all actions taken against your license be suspended, until your government can show that all such actions are founded on an issue related to driving and safety.
Petitions are more successful when there are substantial petitioners involved. And petitions are very costly. For these reasons, the Motorist Union will file petitions in those states which have the highest membership participation. In the beginning, a minimum of 5,000 members will be required to have a petition filed in your state. The following dashboard shows the Motorist Union membership numbers, population, and petition status for each state, displayed in real time:
